About Whole Shenanigans

Hi! I'm Cameron.
So glad you're here!

Most of us could benefit from returning to the basics: eating real food, connecting with real humans, getting enough sleep, staying active, and spending time in nature.

Due to modern technology, life spans are increasing, but health spans are not. In other words, we live longer but are sicker. We can make small changes with significant impacts.

I’m glad you found me, and I hope my content helps you!

More About Me

How did it all start?

I’ve always been interested in health and wellness. Burnout after a 15-year career as a medical speech-language pathologist led me to embark on a career change journey. I simultaneously dealt with a few health conditions that I was always told could only be improved with medication.

I was convinced that wasn’t the only answer, so I began experimenting with things such as reducing ultra-processed foods and increasing my intake of nutrient-dense foods.

Surprisingly, I began to see positive change. I wasn’t sure what part of my diet led to benefits, but I noticed how massively influential the right foods are for overall well-being. I began to study, in more detail, the benefits of things like proper nutrition, sleep, and even socialization. I started Whole Shenanigans to educate more people on the benefits healthy lifestyle changes can bring.

So, what do I eat?

I eat it all. I love food. I make a lot of my food from scratch. I enjoy all food groups but respect anyone who doesn’t. I try to eat organic, pasture-raised, etc., when able, but let’s face it, it’s expensive!

Do I cheat?

Absolutely. Life is about balance. Chips are a weakness.

So, what do I enjoy outside of all of this?

My favorite things are spending time with my husband, son, and dog, being outside (especially on warm days), being active, traveling, and snacking on healthy and delicious homemade creations.
