Thick-Cut Fries

A golden, crispy exterior with a soft, fluffy interior

Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • salt, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C).
  • Wash the potatoes and slice lengthwise into wedges about 1/2 inch (1 cm) thick. Aim for consistent thickness to ensure even baking.
  • Place the potato wedges on a lined baking sheet and toss with olive oil and salt until well coated.
  • Arrange the potato wedges in a single layer so they don't overlap.
  • Bake on the center rack for 40 minutes or until the undersides are golden brown and the potato wedges are soft.
  • Serve with your favorite dip.
