Grow your own nutrient-packed broccoli sprouts in just a few days!
Author: Whole Shenanigans
Prep: 5 days
Total: 5 days
Servings: 10

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp broccoli sprout seeds

Instructions

  • Pour broccoli sprout seeds into a wide mouth quart size mason jar (or similar jar).
  • Cover with tap* or filtered water and soak for 8-12 hours.
  • Rinse and drain twice daily and leave turned upside down in a well-ventilated area away from sunlight. If you do not have a sprouting lid, use a cheesecloth held in place with a mason jar ring or rubber band.
  • Once the sprouts have leaves and are about 1-2 in (2.5-5 cm) long, place them in indirect sunlight to produce chlorophyll.
  • Generally, on day 5, when the sprouts are 1-2 in (2.5-5 cm) long and the leaves are green, they are ready to eat. Rinse thoroughly, dry, and store in the refrigerator.

Notes

-*As long as you have safe tap water wherever you live, you do not need to use filtered water (unless you want to).
-I dry my sprouts thoroughly with a towel and store them in glass containers with a small towel to absorb any extra moisture.
