Simple Marinara Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 tsp avocado oil for the pan
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp sugar or honey to balance the acidity (optional)
- 2 tsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat the avocado oil over medium heat in a medium saucepan.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant, but be careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the tomato sauce and stir to combine with the garlic.
- Add the dried oregano and salt to taste. Stir well.
- Optional: add 1/2 tsp of sugar or honey to balance the acidity.
- Lower the heat and let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Turn off the heat and drizzle with olive oil.
- Serve with your favorite pasta.
