
Quick Pickled Red Onions
Great for making an ordinary meal fresh and flavorful

Ingredients
- 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
Instructions
- Pack the sliced onion into a clean pint-sized glass jar.
- In a measuring cup or small bowl, whisk together the warm water, apple cider vinegar, honey (or maple syrup), and salt until the salt dissolves.
- Pour the pickling liquid over the onions, making sure they are fully submerged. Press them down gently if needed.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, though they're even better after several hours or overnight.

-Store the pickled onions in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2–3 weeks.
