Pico De Gallo

This salsa adds the right zest and freshness to your chips and tacos.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 red onion, chopped
  • 1 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Add the ingredients to a medium bowl and stir thoroughly to combine.
  • Let the pico de gallo sit for 10 minutes, and add more salt to taste.

Notes

-Add more jalapeño pepper if you want it spicier (this recipe is mild).
-Remove the flesh and seeds of the jalapeño pepper for less spice.
-Serrano pepper is a good substitute for a jalapeño.
